After reading @iamsuperbianca's blog about the aftermath of CDO that happened before christmas last year. Reality crushed me into pieces. The whole i time i was reading the blog and scanning through the pictures and reading the captions below, i was in awe and it was jaw-dropping. How cruel could Sendong be to vanish all those homes and wash out all that those people could have. No words could ever replace how heartbreaking reading the stories of the victims. We too experienced flash flood but thankfully, it wasnt that worst compared on what happened to their town. It was just heartbreaking. Tears kept dropping through my cheeks while i finish reading the entire blog. And God, how thankful i am to have this life, these gifts that God gave me and my loved ones.
Honestly, this 2012 thing really scares me till now. Wether the world is ending or not but somehow, i just really realized that we have to live every second, every minute, every moment of our life to the fullest. You never know someone out there is fighting just to have that last breath that you have forsaken. Appreciate little things that's given to you. May it be a small gesture, a smile from a stranger, a blank text from a friend but you'll never know that it might be the end of their life. *sigh* I've been very emotional while seeing those pictures. I cant believe it actually happened to that place. And yes, it scares me. Just by hearing the news about Japan and now it looks like what happened to Cagayan really scares me. Lot's of what if's going on in my mind. But somehow, I know, I know that God will save us from all these calamities. It is only a test or a wake up call to some of us that not all things that we possess are permanently given to us. It may be a wake up call to the society that we may be rich or poor but in times like these we have TO HELP EACH OTHER. Each one of us is equal and none of us that God made is made to be superior except God. Only he could dictate to us what we should do with our lives. *sigh*
I just pray that hopefully this year or these coming years, there will be less calamities, tragedies, wars surrounding the world. When will we ever have peace? Even just have peace of mind on one's own. So tonight or when you wake up never forget to pray to God. Pray that you're thankful for the gift of life he has given to you, Pray for the blessings that he has showered you, Be thankful for the good or bad that has happened to you because for ones it has taught you some lessons and made you a stronger person that you are now. Pray that there will be peace within our hearts. Pray for your safety and your loved ones. Pray for others weaknesses that they may be enlightened by God's love.
And thus, I shall end this by this quote "Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God."
